The ABC’s of Financial Aid: Strategies to Safeguard Your Education
This workshop will provide a general overview of financial aid. Items discussed will include the application process, eligibility issues, types of aid, including loans, and other tips on how to pay for college.

Branding the New You! Re-inventing Yourself & Your Job Search
Success happens when preparation meets opportunity. This workshop highlights how to navigate job search methods, how to network, and how to dress for success, as well as identify the “do’s and don’ts” of an interview. Get the tools to “rebrand the new you!”

Getting Back on Track: Making Credit & Debt Work for You
Unfortunately, sinking into debt is easy. This workshop will provide valuable information about what you can do to manage your debt, including understanding the importance of credit history,  how it works and how debt affects it.  Information will be provided about different types of loans, how to borrow wisely and what to do to reestablish your credit.

Mortgage Makeover: Home Ownership, Mortgages & More
This workshop will address important issues related to home ownership. Our panel will discuss the latest strategies for buying and selling a home, whether you are a first-time buyer, single, married, divorced, or widowed. We will then uncover the mysteries of the mortgage process, including the new rules you need to know about getting a mortgage, how your credit score affects your loan, how to choose the best loan program, improving your chances of getting your loan approved and when to refinance.

Frugalistic Budgeting: The One Week Budget in One Day
Create your new money management system in just one day! Tiffany Aliche, “The Budgetnista” and author of The One Week Budget, will show you how to be both frugal and fabulous with her 12 step system that focuses on how to do more with less.  
               
Managing Career & Financial Stress During Economic Uncertainty
What are the signs and symptoms of stress and how does it lead to serious health issues? Participants will learn the foundation phases of what new entrepreneurs need to know: coming up with an idea, the nuts and bolts of starting a business and how to make it work.

Emerging Young Women Track: Interviewing Skills Workshop: “So Tell Me About Yourself”
Generally, the first question asked before discussing your qualifications or work experience is, “So tell me about yourself?” It is the most frequently asked question and the one most applicants have the greatest difficulty answering.  This interactive workshop will show you how to develop a 90-second personal marketing statement that will highlight your strengths, achievements and qualifications. It will separate you from the competition and give you a greater chance of being remembered by Recruiters and Hiring Managers. In addition, participants will review commonly asked questions and discussing how to respond if asked questions that are not allowed legally during an interview.

Managing Your Career: Career Development Panel Addresses Challenges & Success Stories
Five seasoned career professionals will discuss the challenges and successes in managing their careers. Each woman will share her personal story about how she reached her level of success, including the importance of a mentor, identifying competencies, overcoming challenges, and the importance of networking.

Discovering What Matters: A Survival Guide for the Sandwich Generation
The burgeoning “Sandwich Generation” faces many challenges as they cope with the long term care needs of family members while holding down a job, raising a family and maintaining financial security. This workshop will help participants weigh the options and make educated choices to arm them against the financial and emotional costs associated with long term care.

How to Successfully Grow Your Business through Building Meaningful Relationships
Discover why building relationships are a more powerful strategy than networking—and who best to build relationships with. Learn how being a Go-Giver, rather than a Go-Getter, yields better results for a successful business; how to turn a networking event into a relationship building event; how to use social media to build your business; and why the best business relationships are formed outside the office.

Strategies to Optimize Your College Opportunities & How to Afford It
Families with college-bound students face many decisions, particularly how (and if) they will be able to afford to send their child to college. Devising a plan that is both educationally appropriate and affordable is a challenge.  Among the areas this workshop will address are: a real assessment of the current college climate and how it relates to a student's admission potential; the relationship between college cost and financial aid; the role of financial aid and how it works, and much more. Emerging Young Women Track: Financial Independence for Young Women: “Making It On Your Own” Financial Literacy 101
How much money do you need to be independent? How do you balance your budget to pay for an apartment, a car, and living expenses? This workshop helps participants discover ways to manage money and develop a spending plan to live comfortably and free of financial stress.

Individual Coaching: Resume Writing, Networking and Interview Skills
Are you preparing to look for work or re-enter the workforce again? Workshop participants will learn how to write a professional resume and a cover letter. In addition, this workshop will cover interviewing skills and techniques as well as the pros and cons of social networking.
