Social Action and Advocacy are the cornerstones of the YWCA. Since our inception, “service” has been linked to “action.” In communities across the United States, YWCAs continue to work to improve social and economic conditions for all people.
YWCA local associations partner with the YWCA’s national office in Washington D.C. to strengthen our voices in the nation’s capital and in state and local governments. The YWCA contributes valuable first-hand knowledge of how government policies and programs affect women, girls and their families in communities across the country.
YWCA Bergen County Public Policy Agenda
Our mission of empowering women and girls and eliminating racism is the foundation of all that we believe in and all that we do. Our annual public policy agenda is intrinsic to this mission, and serves as a platform for initiatives ranging from advocacy to program development.
Our agenda is currently in development. Check back regularly for updates. For more information contact Samantha Plotino at [email protected] or call 201-345-1895.
