YWCA Bergen County Senior Health & Wellness in partnership with At Home Companions presents Fitness & Friendship Fridays, a FREE fun and informative monthly speaker series!
Presented by Linda Lohsen, BSN, RN, Director of the Center for Healthy Living, Holy Name Medical Center
Have you ever noticed that the more you complain, the worse you feel? That’s because the constant focus on negative things in life makes them bigger and more overwhelming. If you stop and really think about what you’re saying, you’ll notice a shift in thought, and a more positive outlook will begin to form. By changing your thoughts, ultimately, you can reshape your life. Move from being a complainer to an optimist.
Linda Lohsen, BSN, RN serves as the Director for the Center for Healthy Living at Holy Name Medical Center (holyname.org/HealthyLiving), which offers a wide range of activities designed to encourage people to achieve and maintain good health. Linda coordinates the Speakers Bureau and presents seminars and workshops on wellness to community groups throughout Bergen County. In addition to her career as a nurse, Linda’s training in life coaching and stress management enables her to help individuals find resilience and make healthier life choices.
The presentation will be followed by a light lunch.
Come early and participate in Chair Yoga from 10:15 – 11:15 am. All yoga poses and stretches are done standing and/or sitting and supported by a chair.
Parking is available in the YWCA Bergen County lot, which is flat and allows easy access to the facility at 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood.
