Employment Opportunities

Director Health Promotion Services
Responsible for the administration, management and growth of the Health Promotional Services department, which includes the following programs:  Aquatics, Fitness and Dance, Health and Therapeutics, and the Bolger Fitness Center.  The HPS director supervises the core staff for each of these program units, and provides guidance and direction to each in the areas of program development, leadership and supervision, fiscal management, financial aid, marketing and administration.

Takes a leadership role in the Joint Management of the Oak Street facility, which includes working collaboratively with key YMCA and Joint Management staff to ensure safe and effective program operations within the Oak Street facility.

Camp Counselors and Instructors
Are you enthusiastic, motivated, creative and fun? Have we got a job for you!!! The YWCA is looking for individuals to work with children 6-13 years old in one of our 3 summer camps. Experience working with children a must. The camps are located in Saddle River NJ, Dumont NJ, & Harriman State Park, NY. (transportation to the camp in Harriman is available).

We are also seeking Instructors in the following areas: Environmental Education, Drama/Music, Sports/Archery, Kayaking, Canoeing & Lifeguarding/Swimming.

Fitness Instructor

Certified group fitness instructors needed to teach day and evening classes.

Lifeguard Instructor

Spring and summer positions available. Monday - Friday & weekend hours available at our Ridgewood location. Lifeguard training and CPR certifications required. Call Alysse at 201-444-5600 ext. 349. 


Specialty Instructors

Teacher’s Assistants
