child care + summer camp = peace of mind for working moms
The YWCA’s child care and summer camp programs empower working mothers by giving them the security of knowing their children are safe, nurtured and educated. As requests for financial aid increase, so does our need for funds to provide scholarships to deserving families.

rape crisis center + 24/7 hotline = a safe haven for survivors
The YWCA’s Rape Crisis Center empowers survivors of sexual assault/abuse, their families and friends. Donations help support the center’s dedicated 24/7 hotline and vital services such as accompanying survivors to hospitals, law enforcement agencies and legal proceedings.

fitness + fun = self confidence for those with special needs
The YWCA’s adapted recreation programs empower those with mental and physical challenges to improve their self confidence as well as their fitness levels. Rising costs and more participants mean a greater need for scholarships to help ease the financial burden on families.

self acceptance + healthy habits = girl power
The YWCA’s girls programs empower the women of tomorrow by giving them the tools to realize their full potential. Funding is crucial for expanding programs aimed at helping girls build self esteem and develop healthy body images.

charitable contributions
Cash gifts are the most convenient way for you to give, and you may also consider gifts of securities, real estate and other tangible property and assets. These gifts benefit the YWCA and they provide you with a tax savings.
• Tribute or Memorial Gift: Your gift can be made in honor of, or in memory of, a special someone or to commemorate a special event.

designate a united way pledges
The United Way will honor your request to designate all or part of your contribution to a favorite organization. The YWCA of Bergen County’s United Way Agency number for Bergen County’s United Way is YWC004, and the Tri-State United Way is 001018. Please be sure to write the appropriate number on your form so that we receive your gift.

matching gifts
Make your gift go farther! Check with your or your spouse’s employers to see if they offer a matching gift program. These programs can at least double the amount of your gift.
• If your employer matches employee contributions, request a matching gift form, fill it out and send it to the YWCA of Bergen County. You can send the matching gift form in with your donation or at any time thereafter.
• We will complete our portion of the matching gift form and return it to your employer. The matching funds will be sent directly to us.
