Membership in the YWCA of Bergen County is about joining a friendly, caring and supportive organization that serves the needs of the community. It’s about connecting with others who share your interests and concerns. And it means being eligible to participate in a wide range of programs and services for the entire family.*

For 89 years, our YWCA has played a significant role in the lives of tens of thousands of individuals and families in Bergen County. From toddlers to seniors, from swimming to Zumba®, from writing circles to support groups, from sexual assault/abuse services to racial justice programs, the YW is continually meeting the changing needs of the women, girls and families it serves. Your membership indicates your support for our mission to empower women and girls and eliminate racism—and it’s a mission we can’t accomplish without you.

membership information

• A one-year Basic YWCA membership is required to enroll in any class or program.
• Basic YWCA Membership fees are non-refundable.
• A Basic YWCA Adult Membership includes children age 11 and under.
• All class or program participants must be current YWCA members for the duration of the program unless otherwise noted.
• Members must register for programs each session unless otherwise noted. Program registration does not roll over.
• Women and girls age 15 years and older are voting members of the YWCA. Associates are non-voting participants.
• All members must have a membership card with photo. Please have your photo taken at the Welcome Center desk.
• Monthly credit/debit card draft plans are available for all annual Swim, Body shop and Aqua-fitness memberships, as well as for membership to the Bolger Fitness Center.

ywbasic
A one-year basic membership is required to enroll in any YWCA class or program and must remain current for the duration of the class or program. Your membership also helps to support our association and mission.

Women and girls age 15 years and older are voting members of the YWCA. Associates are non-voting participants.

ywpersimmon
“Power up” your YWCA membership! Includes one-year basic YWCA membership and early bird registration (sign up for classes one week before registration opens to other members). $50 of your membership fee is a tax-deductible donation towards vital programs.

ywaqua-fitness
A one-year aqua-fitness member- ship includes a basic YWCA membership, unlimited access to all aqua-fitness classes, lap swimming and access to whirlpool.

ywfitness
A one-year body shop membership includes a basic YWCA membership and unlimited access to body shop classes and to the whirlpool. Choose from “basic”, “plus” or new body shop + swim options.

* Body shop + aqua-fit membership has all the benefits of an Annual Body Shop "plus" membership and access to all Aqua-fitness classes, plus lap swimming and the whirlpool.

ywswim
A one-year swim membership includes a basic YWCA membership, access to the pool for lap, family and Women Only swims and to the whirlpool. New prices go into affect on March 1, 2011.

bolger fitness center
A one-year membership includes access to all cardio and strength training equipment, free weights, lap swimming, 50+ weekly group exercise classes, whirlpool, steam and sauna. Personal training, massage and child care are available.
