For over 40 years the YWCA of Bergen County’s summer camps have provided children with a summer of fun and friendship in a safe, supportive environment. Our staff of responsible professionals and experienced students is dedicated to our campers.


Small Fry Camp
Ages 3 to 5 yrs
This first camping experience encourages children to develop individual creativity, build self-esteem and learn new skills. Daily activities include arts and crafts, nature, indoor/outdoor games, music, storytelling, imaginative play and special events. Creativity is encouraged through talent shows, carnivals, camp Olympics and much more. American Red Cross swim lessons are offered daily in Ridgewood. Campers must bring their own lunch; a snack is provided.

9:30 am to 2:30 pm

Summer Nursery Camp

Ridgewood
Ages 2½ to 3½ yrs
Children enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor/indoor activities, storytime, circle time and free play. A snack is provided.

Hours: 9 am to 12 pm
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Location: YWCA, 112 Oak St. Ridgewood, NJ

River Edge
Ages 2½ to 5 yrs
In addition to activities listed above, wading pools and sprinklers offer children the chance to enjoy water fun. A snack is provided.

Hours: 9 am to 12 pm
Monday - Friday

Summer at
Rodie Child Care Center

Ages infants to kindergarten
Join our full day child care center for the summer. Pre-school and kindergarten children receive swim lessons at the YWCA in Ridgewood. Lunch and snack provided.

Hours: 7 am to 7 pm
Monday – Friday

Location: 98 Pleasant Ave. Upper Saddle River



CIT Program at Rodie Child Care Center

The goal of our Counselor in Training (CIT) program is to help young adults learn valuable skills that they will use throughout their lives. This program is for 14 & 15-year-olds who are interested in the teaching or child care field.

CITs must have a current $25 YWCA Junior Membership.

registration information

• A $100 deposit and $40 registration fee are due at registration. A current $50 YWCA annual membership is also required.

• All fees are due by May 15, 2008. If fees are not paid in full at time of registration, a credit card must be provided. If payment is not received by May 15, the balance due will be charged to that credit card.

• All registrations accepted after May 15 must be paid in full.

• Deposit, registration and YWCA membership fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for days missed due to child illness.
