Camp Y-Oak-A
Saddle River, NJ

Our camps offer children a summer of fun and friendship in a safe, supportive environment. Our staff of responsible professionals and experienced students is dedicated to our campers.

Typical activities include arts & crafts, music, sports and nature as well as American Red Cross swimming lessons. In order to support working parents, we also provide pre- and post-camp care.

We are committed to making your child's camping experience fun, safe, educational and rewarding, and we welcome your questions and comments.

Camp Y-Oak-A

Ages 6 - 11

  • Camp Y-Oak-A has provided children with memorable camp experiences for over 40 years.

  • We transport the campers to the Ridgewood YWCA for American Red Cross swimming lessons.

  • Campers must bring their own lunch; the YWCA provides a daily snack.

  • CIT Programs

The goal of our Counselor in Training (CIT) program is to help young adults learn valuable skills that they will use throughout their lives.

We offer 2 steps in our CIT Program:

Step 1: 13 & 14-year-olds. This program takes place at our day camps. The goal is to develop leadership in teens by helping them learn how to effectively lead groups of children in a camp setting.

Step 2: 15 & 16-year-olds. Held at Camp Ma-Kee-Ya or our day camps, where CIT’s assist senior counselors, help run the camp store and lead special events.
