Come see “Y the W Makes a Difference” in Before and After School Programming. Our mission is to engage children in fun activities that promote self-esteem, personal responsibility and positive life choices, while providing working parents with a safe, affordable alternative to leaving children home alone. YWCA Before and After School Programs operate each day during the school year at 21 Bergen County schools, serving close to 1,000 children daily. Children enjoy healthy snacks, participate in games, art projects and outdoor play, and are given time do homework. The YWCA staffs each school with a Site Supervisor and Recreation Counselors who are ready and waiting before the dismissal bell rings. Children may enroll at anytime during the school year. Financial assistance is available to income-eligible families.

YWCA Before and After School Programs are licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Children & Families.

After School Program hours - dismissal time until 7:00 pm (except Dumont)

Vacation Day program is open to all area families, whether or not they are currently enrolled in our Before or After School programs. For details click here.
