The YWCA’s fitness professionals and certified instructors teach based on guidelines provided by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council of Exercise (ACE). Classes contain10-minute warm-ups and cool downs.

a firm commitment (multi-level) A thorough resistance training program using free weights, bodybars and tubing in order to boost bone health and metabolism.
powerworks (multi-level) A weight-bearing program designed to build muscle strength, endurance and flexibility from head to toe!
well-rounded strength (multi-level) Strength training with physio-balls, medicine balls and resistance tubing is the perfect complement to traditional resistance training with weights. Come join us for a more “well-rounded” training program!
go for it! (inter.-adv.) Gain strength, energy, stamina and efficient fitness with 30 minutes of aerobics cross-trained with 30 minutes of strength training. If you want to look better and feel better, “let’s go for it”!
cardio kick & step (inter.-adv.) Burn calories and stored fat with the classic kicks, punches and blocks of kickboxing. Very basic and optional step patterns offer creativity, variety and intensity to fitness enthusiasts.
cardio kickbox interval (multi-level) Punch, kick, lift and tone in an interval class that combines kickboxing with resistance training for a full-body workout!
circuit workout (multi-level) A high intensity workload using sports drills, plyometrics, cardiovascular and strength training.
cardio blast (multi-level) Enjoy a full-body cardiovascular workout while cross-training a variety of aerobic formats. Step, low-impact, high-impact, plyometrics and sport drills will be included in this well-balanced mix of cardiovascular challenges. All levels are welcome, as beginners can benefit with modifications.
cardio pilates (multi-level) Ballet inspired moves and the Pilates principles of balance, control and posture are integrated into this low-intensity, non-impact workout.
advanced sculpting (multi-level) A sculpting-only class using free weights, body bars, medicine balls and Physio-balls for a challenging full-body workout!
safe and fit (multi-level) An exhilarating workout that includes heart-healthy aerobics, strength training, balance and flexibility training. All exercises are designed for active seniors and beginning and /or rehabilitating exercisers.
safe and strong (multi-level) A strength building workout for active seniors and beginning and/or rehabilitating exercisers designed to improve joint health, muscle condition, balance , stability and mobility.
new! integrated pilates (inter.- adv.) A structured mix of “classic” and “enhanced” Pilates exercises. To maximize fluidity and variety, movements are faster-paced and more choreographed than traditional Pilates. Integrated into the workload will be the use of stability balls, Pilates rings, dynabands, etc.
new! core fusion (multi-level) Take a break from the stress of the day with a rejuvenating class that combines traditional abdominal work, Pilates and developmental stretch. This is a great way to lengthen and tone your muscles while refreshing your mind and soul for the remainder of your day!
iyengar yoga with certified instructor Dusanka Cairns. Iyengar yoga begins with standing, sitting and lying down postures. The class is later introduced to inversion, more vigorous backbends and breathing techniques. The Iyengar method emphasizes proper alignment and builds strength, flexibility and inner peace.
** Please be advised that socks, shoes, jeans and baggy clothes are not recommended. Shorts and t-shirts are best. Inform instructor of any medical conditions, treatments and/or injuries. Please do not eat prior to class.
aqua combination (multi-level) Non-impact water fitness designed to deliver an aerobic punch! Following a proper warm-up and cardiovascular segment, aquatic strength training is utilized to increase muscle tone, function and range of motion.
pilates mat (multi-level) Strengthen and stretch the deep abdominal muscles and low-back musculature using purposeful, non-impact movements and proper breathing techniques.women’s open basketball

Come on out and grab a pick-up game in a relaxed atmosphere. Join us alone, bring a friend or a group for a great workout.

group spinning
Build strength and cardiovascular endurance while you tone and shape muscles. Group spinning is an ideal way to cross-train, and you’ll be burning an average of 400-500 calories per 45 minute workout.
Great for all fitness levels!
Teen, senior and endurance group spinning specialty classes are also available.

Personal training that works in cooperation with your doctor or physical therapist to meet your health and physical needs. Perfect for transition from a supervised exercise program like cardiac rehab or physical therapy to exercising on your own! Meet with a qualified trainer for as long as you need the extra help. Conditions may include: Heart history or risk factors for heart disease, joint/orthopedic problems, osteoporosis, arthritis, multiple sclerosis or coming back from an injury or surgery.
Consultation with Fitness Director required. Physician Consent before starting.
