The YWCA offers progressive programs for children from
infancy through adolescence. Our teachers, certified in Early
Childhood or Physical Education, offer professional direction
and instruction. We encourage children to succeed at a
developmentally appropriate rate, make friends and have fun.

2 month to 12 years
*Monday – Friday 9 am – 1 pm
Maximum 2 hours per child



Fees
Parent in the building: $3 per child per hour
Parent out of the building (ages 2 ½ to 12 years only): $9 per child per hour available with special registration

parent/child classes - classes will resume in September

diaper gym - ages 10 - 18 months walkers (unassisted)
Babies develop motor skills while participating in activities using colorful equipment designed to encourage curiosity and parent/child bonding.


terrific tots - ages 18 - 30 months
Join your toddler as they experience the joy of exploration and movement! Colorful equipment and learning activities encourage muscle development, cognitive growth and socialization skills.

messy midgets
- ages 2 - 3½ yrs.
Explore creative self-expression with unusual art activities. Class begins with free play on large, colorful equipment and continues with art projects.


building biceps - ages 2 - 3½ yrs.
Work on large motor skills, running, jumping, skipping, walking on balance beams and more.


first classes without parents
- classes will resume in September

peanut gang - ages 3 - 4 yrs.
First class without parents!
Develop motor skills using scooters, a balance beam and tumbling mats. Hoops, yarn balls, blocks and rhythmics foster space awareness, body identification and color recognition.



classes for ages 2½ to 5 years old
- classes will resume in September


soccer for kids - ages 3 - 4 yrs.
Introduction to basic soccer skills includes kicking and passing the ball. (Note: Games may be changed based on children's ages.)



scrambled eggs - ages 3 - 5 yrs.
Sample many of our most popular classes all at once. Miss Darlene leads the class in arts and crafts, cooking, movement, nature, stories and other activities that are seasonally appropriate and meet the children's interests.



classes for ages 4 to 7 years old - classes will resume in September

cooking for kids - ages 4 to 6 yrs.
Children use kid friendly recipes while learning to measure, mix, roll and knead dough, whip cream and more



spanish - ages 4 to 6 yrs.
Children have fun learning languages at an early age. Class includes language, culture, traditions and food.



introduction to hockey - ages 4 - 6 yrs.
Fundamental hockey skills are taught through lead-up games and drills.



soccer for kids - ages 4 - 6 yrs.
Introduction to soccer with kicking and passing activities.



sports n' stuff
- ages 4 - 6 yrs.
An afternoon sampling of topics including dinosaurs, animals and transportation methods that continues with soccer, hockey, dodgeball, obstacle courses and relay races. Snack is provided.



tea party - ages 4-6 yrs.
Children turn back time, polish their manners, make tea sandwiches, bake cakes, scones, cookies and make chocolates. They make glamorous hats, jewelry boxes, picture frames, string pearls and have tea with their dolls and stuffed animals. Parents: please join us for our last party.


young explorers - ages 4 - 6 yrs.
Discover dinosaurs, wild animals, flying machines, the night sky, campfire tales and much more while enjoying snacks and tasty treats.

lil’ dragons judo and life skills  - ages 4 - 7 yrs.
Children will learn important life skills in a fun, exciting and enriching environment while improving motor skills developing a positive mental attitude so he/she can become a better student in school and a better listener at home. Children learn basic judo tumbling and grappling as well as 911 skills, stranger danger, bully busting, personal safety (fire safety, first aid and drug awareness). Classes are taught by Christine Maurer, 4th degree black belt. Lil’Dragon uniform required.
$29 payable to instructor at first class.


“itsy bitsy yoga”
“Itsy Bitsy Yoga” Combines unique toddler-friendly yoga poses with songs, stories, and games to create an enriching parent/child experience. Help your tyke build the foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle while having fun!

YogaKids® is a unique approach to integrative learning using yoga as a pathway. Reading, storytelling, music and creative arts blend with yoga movement to educate the “whole” child.
