ywracial justice

The YWCA’s commitment to eliminate racism, achieve racial justice and embrace diversity is evident in all that we do. We incorporate multicultural principles in our child care, camp and health and fitness programs as well as our Rape Crisis Center. We also develop and support various community-wide initiatives aimed at increasing racial understanding and encouraging communication across ethnic and cultural lines. These include:

Stand Against Racism
YWCA Bergen County participates in this annual YWCA initiative to raise awareness about racism and celebrate the richness of diversity. We host a public event and invite organizations or groups of individuals to become involved as Participating Sites. They host their own Stand Against Racism events and the YWCA provides all the necessary materials. To find out more go to www.StandAgainstRacism.org.
