MLK essay 2010

This year’s winners, inspired by the theme, “What Advice Would Dr. King Give President Obama?” are Jonathan Robert Vasquez, Englewood on the Palisades Charter School; Tarek Meah, Elmwood Park Memorial Middle School; and Brandy Neary, Ridgefield Memorial High School. Each winner received a certificate and gift card, and each school was presented with a plaque inscribed with its winner’s name. Invitations were sent to several hundred schools across the county, and submissions were reviewed by a judging committee. Winners were chosen based on creativity, interpretation of the theme, and overall writing quality.
