ywrape crisis center: The Art of Healing: An Exhibit of Survivor's Artwork and Poetry 2010

In observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April, the YWCA of Bergen County Rape Crisis Center partnered with Ramapo College of New Jersey to raise awareness about sexual violence as a serious public health issue—and reinforce the need for prevention efforts.

“Survivors’ Art and Poetry Exhibit: The Art of Healing from Sexual Victimization”  took place on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. This annual event featured an Art Exhibit and Poetry Reading acknowledging survivors of sexual abuse, celebrating their healing process in a supportive environment, and develops a sense of community among concerned individuals.
