youth
level 1 - ages 6 to 12 yrs.
First timers or children who fear the water build confidence learning the fundamentals of swimming, kicking and floating.

First time swimmers or those uncomfortable in the water build confidence while learning the fundamentals of swimming, water adjustment, kicking and floating.

Those able to swim full pool lengths learn the back and breast strokes, improve lap swimming, increase endurance and stamina.

junior swim clinic - ages 8 to 16 yrs.
Advanced swimmers learn the butterfly stroke, swimming starts, turns and other competitive skills. Participants must have completed Level 6.

new! youth synchronized swimming - ages 7 and older
Learn synchronized swim skills and figures while performing to music. Taught by certified coaches.

Must be at least Level 3 swimming ability. The class will
focus on refining strokes (front and back crawl, breast stroke,
side stroke) and introducing synchronized swimming skills such
as sculling, underwater skills and figures. Completion of this
class meets the requirements to advance to Synchro 2 class.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Synchro 1, as defined
by instructor. Students continue to strengthen and broaden
synchro skills with additional land exercises. All swimmers will
learn routines to perform in the annual Aquacon show. Those
students approved by the coaches will have the option to enter
competition with the YWCA Synchro Stars.

lifeguard training conditioning course/advanced swimming
techniques - ages 12 yrs. or older
Class is designed to develop and train stroke refinement, strength and stamina through stroke drills. Focus is on both skills necessary to complete the lifeguard training pre-requisite skills test and to perform enhanced swimming efficiency.
Tues. 4:30 - 5:30 pm
american red cross lifeguard training course - ages 15 yrs. or older
Students must be able to pass a swim test. Learn CPR, First Aid and lifeguard techniques.
