The YWCA of Bergen County, a leading provider of programs designed to empower women and eliminate racism, honored 43 women and 30 businesses at its 34th Annual Tribute to Women and INdustry (TWIN) awards gala on May 1.

The event was hosted by KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm, whose Chairman and CEO, Timothy P. Flynn, served as honorary chairman. Terrie M. Williams, Founder of The Stay Strong Foundation and President of The Terrie Williams Agency, was the keynote speaker and Kathleen Entwistle served as project chair.

The YWCA of Bergen County and TWIN Alumnae Association (TAA) hosted a “Women of Influence” Networking Event on September 26th at Seasons Restaurant, Washington Township. Guest speaker Laura Carabello, author of the novel “Crude” and Chief Creative Officer of CPR Communications, gave a passionate account of her journey to becoming founder of a leading marketing firm and a published author. The event was attended by TAA members, YWCA executives and guests.
