YWCA Bergen County honored 26 women and 20 businesses at its 37th Annual Tribute to Women and INdustry (TWIN) awards gala on Thursday, May 5 at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, NJ. Patricia Preztunik, President of BrightStar Care of Bergen and Passaic Counties and a former TWIN honoree, served as this year’s event Chairwoman.

TWIN recognizes women for their outstanding business and community achievements, as well as the companies whose progressive policies enable women to advance to positions of leadership. Since its inception in 1975, nearly 2,000 women and over 200 area companies have been honored. Proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for financially underserved youngsters in the YWCA’s child care programs and summer camps as well as the organization’s Rape Crisis Center, Bergen County’s only provider of a 24/7 hotline for victims of sexual violence
