There are many ways to become involved!
Membership provides you with access to more than 100 exciting events emailed to you on a weekly/bi-weekly basis:
Evening Social Events include the popular Progressive Dinner (cocktails, dinner, and dessert at three different houses), Ladies Spring Dinner, Bowling Night Out and more!
Family Fun Events range from hayrides to a Halloween Party to a Mother’s Day celebration.
Fundraising Events include a morning at a local movie theater and our annual Gala in the spring. Proceeds from these popular events benefit our YWCA Bergen County programs.
Membership Social Events include lunches at a board member’s home or the ever-popular Holiday Cookie Exchange.
Special Interest Groups Events are highlighted in our emails and on our website.
Our calendar year runs from August through June.
All Newcomers-sponsored social events are BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage), unless otherwise specified.
Newcomers-sponsored events are BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage), with the exception of events where alcoholic beverages are sold by or held at a third-party vendor. Ridgewood Newcomers promotes responsible drinking. If you are planning to consume alcohol, please select a designated driver. If needed, taxi service cards are available.
If you need to cancel a reservation to attend a paid event, you must cancel your reservation no later than one week prior to the event. To receive a full refund, you must notify the event coordinator(s) in person, or by telephone or email, at least one week prior to the event, unless specifically stated otherwise in the event description. Cancellations received after the stated deadline are not eligible for a refund. Refunds are not available to members who choose not to attend an event and fail to notify the event coordinator(s) to cancel a reservation.
